Construction Updates
Construction is underway as of November 10, 2025 to build a new, 83-foot-wide bridge with roadway improvements including curb and gutter, trail, drainage, water utilities, and upgrades to landscaping.
During this work, 820 North at the bridge site and the Provo River Parkway Trail between 900-800 North will be closed to maintain public safety and allow crews to efficiently complete their work.
Generally, the contractor anticipates the phasing to be:

-
Soil stabilization through December
-
Construction of the foundation and abutments, or the vertical support structures that distribute weight from the bridge deck through the structure, from January to March
-
Setting of the girders, or the big, horizontal beams that support the road and are major milestone of construction, is anticipated in April
-
Final construction of the road, including asphalt replacement, curb and gutter, drainage, and striping is anticipated through mid-summer
-
These dates are tentative and dependent on weather, materials availability, other factors, and may change
